Veg Fried Rice Recipe : Vegetarian Fried Rice with Tofu
My favorite fried rice in the world.The tofu tastes amazing with the eel sauce.
The Sriracha sauce adds a super exciting spicy flavour to the rice.The crunchy
vegetables in the mouth just exquisite.
Prep 40 min Serves 4
Ingredients
2 cups of cook Organic Brown Rice (follow package instructions)
1 Extra Firm Silk Tofu Pack
1 cup broccoli florets
1 cup chopped celery
1/4 Chopped White onion
1/2 Small Chopped Bell pepper
1 tsp Fresh Ginger Chopped Finely
1 tsp Shallot or garlic Finely Chopped
2 tbsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce
3 tbsp Extra Virgin olive oil
1 tbsp kabayaki (eel sauce)
1 tbsp Sriracha Hot Sauce
1 tsp Apple Cider
1 Lime Juice
Pepper to taste
Preparation
1.When rice is done, drain and add some cold water and drain again
using a large sieve and set aside.
2.Cut the tofu block into 12 pieces
3.Heat olive oil in a large Teflon pan and stir fry the tofu
(carefully the oil may jump because tofu contains water)
4.While tofu is frying chopped all the vegetables
5.Flip tofu around until each side of each piece has a golden crispy look
(it will be ready in about 5 minutes)
6.Remove tofu and place in a paper towel to drain the oil excess
7.In the same pan add garlic and ginger cook until fully sauteed
8.Add the rest of your vegetables let them sauteed for 3-4 minutes
9.Add half of the soy sauce, apple cider, mix well and add the rice.
10.Stir until the rice and vegetables are well mixed, add the rest of soy
sauce and pepper ,cook for 2 more minutes.
11.Serve Veg Fried Rice Recipe : Vegetarian Fried Rice with tofu hot
squeeze a few drops of lime juice, top with a couple of tofu pieces
garnish tofu with eel sauce and add a bit of Sriracha sauce to the rice
